2021-06-13 Sunday Worship “Kingdom Seed”

Most of us have heard the saying, “From little acorns grow mighty oaks.” It is meant to remind us that great things do come from small beginnings. In Mark 4.30-32, Jesus tells his disciples that the kingdom of God is like a mustard seed, the smallest of all seeds in the world. This tiny thing, when planted, will grow, larger than all the garden plants. It will even put out large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade. But this parable is so much more than an inspirational message about never giving up.  What is Jesus trying to tell us about the kingdom of God? This week, Rev. Mathew looks at these three small verses to discover a might promise.
