Our Leadership Team and Staff

Rector – Reverend Jim Carriere

Jim’s Ministry Philosophy is underpinned by a strong belief that Christian education and pastoral care are transformational, life-changing events. They are also key tools in shepherding God’s people, deepening relationships with Jesus, living out our faith, and introducing other people to Jesus.

Jim is happily married to Jude. They have 3 adult children, and are now “empty-nesters.” Jim’s hobbies include photography and music, both of which he brings to his ministry here at Good Shepherd.

“Spiritual growth comes not only from personal discipline, but is especially nurtured within a church community that is anchored in Biblical values, and intentional about its fellowship, its outreach, and proclamation. Relationships within the church, with our families, friends, and the people of our city, are solid structures for fostering the Gospel message, especially expressed in how we love. As such, our own relationships in the church are not limited to Sunday worship. Rather, the fellowship and the values must extend into how we live daily beyond Sunday.”

- Rev. Jim Carriere
