Our Ministry Team & Staff

The Reverend Gerry Brodie

rgbrodielivecom

The Rev'd Gerry has been the rector here for the last 10 years.
He and his wife, Margaret, have brought a great ministry to our community. Before moving back to Canada they ministered in South Carolina, USA. As a result, Gerry has become a fan of grits. He loves to read books by J.C. Ryle, John Stott and J.I. Packer. Gerry has a great sense of humour and a heart the size of ten normal pastors. He loves to see people meet Jesus. He and his wife, Margaret, have four children.

We welcome you to our website for Church of the Good Shepherd, a member of the Anglican Network in Canada. As an Anglican Church which is part of the world-wide Anglican Communion, we believe there is inherently good news to be found in the person of Jesus Christ and His message. In coming to Him, one's life is transformed. There's new life, hope, and possibilities.

At our worship services on Sunday we have a traditional 9:00 am service and a more contemporary 10:30 am service, blending old and new music. At both services Sunday morning there is a Eucharist (Communion). Eucharist comes from a Greek word meaning thanksgiving. We remember and give thanks for Jesus Christ's death on the cross. The sermon is based on one of the readings from the Bible. We believe in the reliability, trustworthiness, and relevance of the Bible.

In our day and age, when people are seeking a deeper meaning in life, when people are seeking something greater than themselves in which to believe and find strength, when people are yearning for something more, we, as a Christian Church, seek to bear gracious witness to Jesus Christ who is the way, the truth, and the life.

We invite you to join us and may God encourage you this day.
